We are all familiar with the expression ‘everything happens for a reason’, but more often than not we focus too much on the reason and not enough on everything happening. Having come from a long and successful career in the hospitality sector that stretched right around the globe, there was still something missing. I once described it as having three aces facing up and another unknown card facing down, which one would I play? For me, the card facing down was the quest to start my own venture. So, I quit my job, sold the house and moved to South Australia with my beautiful partner, all in the midst of a pandemic - safe to say there were some bumpy roads.
