About

The Mount Torrens township dates back to the mid 1850’s and during these times the area was well known for its copper and gold deposits, wattle bark industry & wheat cropping. The Mount Torrens Hotel, 3 minutes from the property, served as a stopover for bullock drivers along the once busy route from Adelaide to the Murray River. Today, the historical charm of Mount Torrens settlement remains.

47 Woolshed Road is the ideal location to appreciate premium produce and experiences within the Adelaide Hills. Whether it be a round of golf, Fox Creek mountain biking, Gorge wildlife park for the kids, Section 28 cheese factory, Applewood Gin distillery or a world class vineyard, these experiences are all available within a 20 minute drive. Stay a little longer and do a day trip to the unmissable Barossa & Eden Valley region or the Murray River, both a 30 minute drive from the property. Coming domestically or from overseas, Adelaide Airport is just one hours drive.

The barn inspired farmhouse at 47 Woolshed Road sits at 512m above sea level and was built in 2009 using 47,000 bricks from the Adelaide abattoirs and old wool stores, all inspired from the Sydney cove warehouses. The dark jarrah staircase fills the grand 6 metre tall entrance before flowing into a extensive entertainers living and dining area, perfect for groups and private functions. Take a swim in the pool, stoke the fire place, pour yourself a local Golding or Lobethal Road wine and watch the sun disappear for the day over the magnificent Mt Lofty Ranges in the Adelaide Hills.
